The Philips TAR2509/10 Portable FM/MW Radio is a classic, easy-to-use portable analogue radio designed for listening at home, in the garden, workshop, or while travelling. Featuring FM and MW reception, a large 3.5-inch full-range speaker, tone control, headphone output, and the flexibility of AC or battery power, it combines straightforward controls with dependable everyday performance. 

- FM & MW analogue radio — receives FM 88–108 MHz and MW 520–1710 kHz stations, with a traditional side-mounted tuning wheel for quick and simple station selection.

- Easy analogue tuning — the large, clear frequency display makes finding stations straightforward, while an LED tuning indicator illuminates when a strong signal is detected.

- 3.5-inch full-range speaker — equipped with a single 3.5" (8.9 cm) driver delivering clear mono sound for radio programmes, news, music, and talk shows.

- 300mW RMS output — provides practical audio output for personal listening around the home, office, garden, or workshop.

- Music & News tone modes — built-in tone control lets you select Music mode for general listening or News mode to emphasize speech and spoken programmes.

- 3.5mm headphone output — connect standard wired headphones for private listening; connecting headphones automatically switches off the built-in speaker.

- Telescopic FM antenna — extend and reposition the antenna to optimize FM reception in different locations.

- AC or battery powered — use the included AC power cord with 220–240V, 50/60Hz mains power, or install 2 × D-size (LR20) 1.5V batteries for portable operation.
