The Philips AZB500/12 CD Soundmachine is a portable stereo system combining DAB+/DAB and FM radio, a CD player, and Philips Dynamic Bass Boost technology. With dual built-in speakers, RDS radio information, a 3.5mm audio input, and both mains and battery operation, it is well suited to home, kitchen, workshop, office, or portable listening.
- DAB+, DAB & FM radio — receives digital DAB/DAB+ and traditional FM stereo stations. DAB automatically tunes stations by name and provides clear digital reception where coverage is available.
- RDS support — FM RDS can display useful information including station name, radio text and programme type.
- CD, CD-R & CD-RW playback — integrated top-loading CD player supports standard audio CDs as well as recordable and rewritable CD formats.
- Shuffle & Repeat functions — supports repeat and random playback, along with next/previous track search and fast forward/reverse. Up to 20 tracks can be programmed.
- Dynamic Bass Boost — Philips DBB technology emphasizes lower frequencies for deeper, more powerful bass, including when listening at lower volume levels.
- Stereo speaker system — equipped with 2 built-in 3-inch (7.6cm) speakers for stereo playback.
- 3.5mm Audio-In — connect smartphones, MP3 players and other compatible audio sources using a standard 3.5mm stereo cable.
- LCD display — integrated display provides radio, station and playback information.
- Telescopic antenna — adjustable antenna helps optimize DAB/DAB+ and FM radio reception.
- Mains or battery powered — operates from 220–240V AC mains power or 6 × LR14 (C) 1.5V batteries, making it suitable for both stationary and portable use.
