First Help Tech – Product Warranty Policy
1. Overview
At First Help Tech, we stand by the quality and reliability of the spare parts, tools, and accessories we supply. This Warranty Policy explains the coverage we provide for defective items, the limitations that apply, and how to make a claim.
This policy applies to all items purchased either online through www.firsthelptech.ie or in-store.
2. Warranty Duration
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, all items are supplied with a 12-month limited warranty starting from the date of delivery or in-store purchase.
3. What’s Covered
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that affect the normal function of the product.
Examples of covered items include:

Internal components of replacement parts (ICs, flex cables, connectors)

Repair tools or instruments with operational faults

Display assemblies (screens, touch panels) with non-user-induced issues

Batteries not holding charge within specification

Cables, adapters, or accessories with defective wiring
4. What’s Not Covered
The following issues fall outside the scope of our warranty:

Installation Damage

Cracked LCDs, torn flex cables, or misaligned parts during fitting

Forced installation into incompatible devices

Normal Wear & Tear

Scratches, dents, abrasions, or cosmetic marks

Battery capacity reduction over time

User or Environmental Damage

Electrical shorts caused by misuse

Third-Party Tampering

Modifications, soldering, or repair attempts by non-authorized persons

Use in unsupported or altered devices

Compatibility Issues

Parts ordered for the wrong model or mismatched devices
We recommend checking compatibility or contacting us before purchasing.

5. Warranty Conditions
To qualify for support, the item must:

Have been purchased directly from FirstHelpTech (online or in-store)

Be within the 12-month warranty period
-
Show no signs of external damage, improper handling, or incorrect installation
👉 We strongly recommend testing all parts (especially displays and logic boards) before completing the installation.
6. How to File a Claim

Order number or in-store receipt

Product name or SKU

Clear description of the issue

Photos/videos of the fault (where possible)

Initial Review
Our technical team will assess the evidence and may request further tests or the return of the item. -
Resolution
If confirmed as faulty due to a manufacturing defect, we will:-
Provide a free replacement part, or

Offer store credit or refund (at our discretion)
⮕ We may ask for the faulty item to be returned for inspection. Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless agreed otherwise.

7. Limitations of Liability
This warranty is limited to the defective item only. It does not cover:

Labor or installation costs

Device damage caused by defective or mishandled parts

Any indirect or consequential loss
8. Updates to This Policy
We may amend this policy from time to time. Any updates will be published on our website and apply to new purchases made after the update.
